Wood chips for chickens

My chickens are swimming in mud and j was wondering whether anyone had seen proper garden Wood chips rather than wood shavings.Am just putting roof on pen but the rain got there before I did.Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe speak to someone who cuts logs. Not quite the chips you may want but quite course.

Garden centre in Catalkoy sells bark chippings, if thats any good

I think they sell them in Leroy Merlin on the South.
