Ercan Parking

During our next stay we will be flying over to Turkey for 5 days, as we have a hire car we were thinking of parking the car at Ercan Airport rather than paying for transfers.

Does anyone know the coast of parking at the airport, and is an easy option, or are we better off paying for transfers.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Thanks

Can’t remember the cost but we always leave our car at the airport and find the price very reasonable x

I think its 15 tl for the first day then 10 TL thereafter. Or you could use the car park just before the Police box on the left at the last roundabout, a straight 8 tl per day. Its a small walk though to the terminal.

Using the ECN information site 'Parking':

Up to 30 mins - free
Up to to 48 hrs - 25 TL
Additional days - 10 TL

How up to date that information is?

Yes but one thing you can be certain of is that Mr Chinnery will not be trying to fiddle the system intentionally.
A lot of comments on kibkom over the years have been about people fiddling the system, whether it be in the TRNC or
in the UK, ‘deport them’ ‘it’s a disgrace’ ‘ The TRNC is so corrupt’ go the cries.
Yet some crimes seem to be now acceptable.
And yes if I was in authority I would be after criminals. I would put an appropriate smiley on but I can’t seem to do it.

We do a 7 day trip to Antalya from Ercan every year and just leave the hire car in the hire car carpark in front of the carwash garage (behind the bus stop) and then collect it again on our return. With your hire car company's blessing this should be free!

If I have read all the above correctly, the ECN/Parking information is not up to date if what Reyntj says is correct.

Not really tomsteel, but it would be nice if they could get just something correct just for once.
