BBC IPlayer - will not download - Now working!
I could not download any BBC IPlayer programmes today (using my Multimax VPN).
Is anyone else having similar problems?
Erol highlighted the fact that the BBC were aware of the problem and were working on it; they have obviously fixed it.
Thanks to those who responded. PB

Thanks Keith, but no help!!
Having downloaded the latest version a few days ago, I was impressed with the improvements. Then today, I tried to download and got 'Download Failed'. Oddly enough, I can watch the programme live - just cannot download it!!

Sorry about that, but I was only answering your question - "Is anyone else having similar problems?" - I didn't say that it would solve 'em!PapaBravo wrote:Thanks Keith, but no help!!

Have you tried using a different VPN? Tord or Express VPN are reasonably priced and provide a very good service. They allow me to connect to iPlayer, ITV, 4OD and CH5.

I am still having problems. The downloads don't always work and if they do the download screen comes up blank. But if it does manage to show the downloads it won't load them so I can watch. I can only listen and no picture. The new system seems to be a total mess for some. Others it seems to work fine.

I posted on another thread about an alternative for downloading from BBC/ITV. http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/v ... 46&t=41406cjtill wrote:I am still having problems. The version for Mac is easy to set up and use, and converts to iTunes if you wish to play video on your iPad or iPhone. Have never tried the Windows version, so can't comment on that. One advantage is that the files are not deleted after 28 days.
There are occasional blips when BBC/ITV change things, but usually this is sorted out quite quickly.

It's the 'I.T. way' isn't it?cjtill wrote:... The new system seems to be a total mess for some. Others it seems to work fine.
Every flipping Update, Upgrade, etc., results in issues that weren't there in the first place...
