For information as I know some people use Maplins for electrical goods purchases.
It has just been reported that the receivers have moved in.
So I would be tempted to give it a wide berth as you may not receive your purchases.

Ah....I was worried Joe Maplin had gone bust and I wouldnt be able to enjoy my HiDeHi holiday this year!

The internet has changed the way we shop now a lot of businesses cannot compete due to high overheads, was looking for a bedroom carpet recently had a look around all the usual retailers but far too expensive and in some cases more staff than customers ended up buying from the internet at a much lower cost for same carpet after getting samples sent through, next day free delivery too.
