Rotten lot!

I don't know, you try to help, and what do you get?

Anyway, I reckon that you're stuck with it, at least until Thurs night - maybe even into Friday.

Suck on that! Image

So its a little wet out there then??

You will be pleased to know that in our neck of the woods here in the UK it has been dull, dull, foggy, dull and foggy all week. Not rained tho. Temp 14C.

Hopefully the plants we put in early Oct on our last visit to N Cyprus have now been well watered and will survive the winter (Providing the goats dont wander by and help themselves . No doubt when we return next year we will be spending a day weeding and cutting back the growth.

Weeding and cutting back - you will, Posh, you will.

Just think how glad you will be next summer when all this rain will fill the reservoirs and you can fill your pools and have endless showers . If it hasnt all run away to sea of course - oops memo to self be more postitive.

If it does carry on like this, I might have to ask Looseboots or Phil to run down the road after my plants - they could soon be half-way to Mare-Monte...

At least the sun is out this morning to help dry things out.

And the dust has settled - wonderful. The trees and shrubs are green and everything smell gorgeous. You can tell we live on an unmade up road can't you?? The suns out and just about sit in it, have a coffee and read my book. Can't complain can you?

How can anyone that lives here complain about a bit of rain, when we need it to cope with the summer drought. The gardens need it, and the reservoirs need it, so I hope we get lots more this winter.

somebody stop it! Well, in my opinion, stop it by day. One of the arguments I shall be having with the almighty if I am allowed a face to face, is that I don't understand that if 'he' is perfect, how come it doesn't rain at night and sunshine by day. That way, the plants get fed, the food stuffs grow, and we enjoy the beauty of blue skies and warmth by day. to my mind that is just SO simple, but maybe that is why the Almighty never thought of it.

Hm,mm..... I am beginning to wonder if what I was taught at Sunday school about the almighty being all knowing, omnipotent, omnipresent etc, etc is really true. (I can see my old theology teachers rapping me on the knuckles, or calling me a Progressive Theologian.!)

ARTHUR:
It's true! It's true! The crown has made it clear.
The climate must be perfect all the year.

A law was made a distant moon ago here:
July and August cannot be too hot.
And there's a legal limit to the snow here

The winter is forbidden till December
And exits March the second on the dot.
By order, summer lingers through September
The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By eight, the morning fog must disappea.
The snow may never slush upon the hillside.
By nine p.m. the moonlight must appear.
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than

Marion: Aren't you confusing Cyprus with Camelot?

lOV E IT. bUT FOR ME 'happy ever aftering, is here in Cypriot (to rhyme with Camelot).'.and what a lovely musical with the oh so handsome in his youth, Richard harris . Aaah. But no, i am not confusing it, I am just confused! I thought of the idea of no rain until after sunset years before Camelot the musical was written. Maybe someone read my thoughts! Or heard me mumbling on the wind.

It is when you get a month`s rainfall in one day and have to go out and get soaked to pump your pool out.

But I am not one to complain.
