I recently passed something called the above, or something like it. As far as I could see there was a "picnic area!? with tables and chairs, a child's play area, a few donkeys and a horse - I was told there were also cows Access apparently over rough terrain overgrown with weeds! but perhaps it is not completed yet? Does anyone know anything about it?
On the upper road between Catalköy and Ozanköy side road on the left facing West.

I assume its the place nearly opposite the Catalkoy riding school, a few years ago I believe the municipality closed it as I recall a post about it but luckily people still go there and pet the animals and take their veg scraps along.
Have not been that way yet at a weekend or evening therefore do not know the status of it now.

It was completed some years ago but then the municipality took it over because it became popular. Now it is mainly abandoned but still it use during the summer months and the locals as well as school trips use it quite a lot. Nice quite place to sit and wonder why it went downhill. As for the weeds it is in Cyprus and it is Spring, what else would you expect?

Even in Spring in Cyprus I expect a facilitiy for children to be accessible without wading through high, possibly snake infested, weeds!!!!! Maybe there was a side entrance, I did not have time to explore. I dont remember seeing the sign before, so perhaps it is being renovated?

If you had parked in the well sign posted car park - that is in front of the free toilets - then right across the road is the entrance to the facility. You can only use the side gate unless the municipality has unlocked the large roller gate to allow vehicle access. The grass is not currently high and there are no snakes that I could find today, perhaps the shepherds dog is keeping them all at bay? There are donkeys and around 10 cow's in the enclosure right next door and further into the facility you will also find chickens (leave your dog at home!) along with goats and sheep. Have never heard or seen any problems there in the last five years and the kids really enjoy it during the summer months when Sundays is a very popular day for people to go there and BBQ or just chill out. Litter bins are provided and they are used as well, what more can you ask for - it is a free facility for anyone to use.
