Help - How do I send a PM to someone on this forum?

Can someone please advise me as I have written my message and thought I had sent it but now it just sits in my outbox

What have I done wrong or should I say; what haven't I done?

Hi

Sometimes it does take a whole to leave the outbox.

Suggest leave for a while. If no joy try sending another pm

It stays in your 'outbox' until the recipient opens it - which is handy in a way, as you can Edit messages right up to the point where they are 'collected', unlike emails.

Anyway, if you have a look, you'll see that it's gone now!

Keith you are quite right it has now gone through and it now all makes sense

Another question, if I may? When someone pm's me and I wish to reply to that message which button do I click on?

I saw one button, I think it said 'post reply' but I didn't want to do that as I wanted to pm the original messenger back and I assumed that the 'post reply' button would put my message directly on the forum?

Blimey, hope you can make sense of all that!!

Sue, the 'post Reply' button is the correct one, it just brings up the same screen to type your PM in as the 'New Message' option, except that it already has the subject title filled in, and the recipient's name is already entered, and it 'quotes' the message that you're 'replying to' - for the avoidance of doubt, as they say
