Good quality artificial/synthetic grass required, together with experienced layer. Any advice please regarding suppliers.

Alsancak Belediyesi have just laid some around the Reception area at the new National Park - I suspect that Ataser Construction (the Mayor's Company ) might have had a hand in it...

They sell it on the greek side in the big diy shop not far from ikea . They have quite a few different types . Last september they had a half prive sale . I asked he giy in charge and he said he had better quality grass coming next year so maybe now .

I watched a video about laying this grass and there are quite a few stepe ! Looks hard work much more than i thought . I would be interested how much someone who knows what they are doing charges to lay this stuff ?

Has anybody seen here - not artificial grass - but looks like sheets of shredded bark, they had it in Marwell Zoo

The artificial grass must be available somewhere in the north, I've seen it laid in several locations; for example Belapais Abbey, Dome Hotel etc. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Eminaga the garden centre had some so did the Spa shop just before the big roundabout at the end of the bypass coming out of Girne going to Latpa. They were quoting about €25 a Sqm but nor sue if that included laying it. Hope this helps.

Of course it's available - have it laid by Ataser Construction, they've just laid a lot at the new park, and made a very neat job of it...

China Bazaar had different versions of it and the Yapi next door last year.

Nature Garden Centre in Alsancak near Acmenya restaurant supply &fit I bought some last year at €16.00 a sq mt it was very good quality .

if you want it to look somewhat nice, a pile hight of 25 mm is required.
if you want it to last some years in sunny Cyprus, you need UV stable stuff, tested at least according to "DIN 53387 > 10.000 hours"
(some is advertised as "UV consistent"...thats often not sufficient. do not forget to ask for tests reports... )

this quality starts in Europe at about 25 to 30 euro a m², without "undergound" and labour.

Great, thanks for all your responses, I'll be purchasing next week. Don't think I'll bother investigating the suggestion for the Greek Occupied Areas, too much hassle with organising.

I was about to post on the very same topic. I finally got round to a bit of garden re modelling and was shocked at the prices now quoted for Artificial grass. Last year I'm sure I remember being quoted £10./sq mt and last week I got prices of 17, 18 & £25 sq mt. Nobody seems able to tell me quite why its gone up so much. If you do get a decent price somewhere please let us know.

Will do Medjoul, best price to date for the good quality grass is £18 per metre which did not include fixing.

I install grass in the uk , £20 a square mt is the norm for a decent pile grass, supply and fit your looking at £50 mt supply and fit , includes sub base and sand

yesterday, i was at the energy ministery.. for solar applications... and.. they were closed.
so, i went for a kebab... and.. there was a shop.. mustafa aroglu. 0392 2273022 in marmara bölge, ortaköy, lefkosa.

we had a intensive, quick discussion... and came, considering the hot sun in cyprus, to two options only, of course the ones whith highest prices, all other options more or less "useless" (lifetime just too short and some looked awful:
i ask for 50m².
1. the "it will last 7 years but" option, 65 TL per m²
2. the "it will last 8 years" option, 80 TL m².
both looked nice,

plus 500 TL for sand and approx 10 TL/ m² for labour. just as an idea, this is not an offer.

I got some recently from China Bazaar in Karouglanouglu. It isn't the best quality but alright for my purpose and it was cheap at 50ytl/mtr. It is in two metre wide strips.

Thnx i think this is one where you get what you pay for .i contacted the seller in nicosia mentioned here he now has a range from5.5 euro to 17.5 euro. 8 different qualities . If i do it its quite a big area and i want it to last a long time so i need to get good quality one . Any other experiences would be welcome.
