We arrive in Larnaca from gatwick at 22.05 on 17 April 2018. Willing to share a taxi or can anyone recommend a reliable taxi company

Has anyone booked with cyprusbooking lately as I have been trying to book a transfer, it doesn't seem like the website is working as my booking keeps saying there is an error

A few weeks ago I could not book through the PickupNorthCyprus website despite trying several time on different devices and with different debit cards.

I contacted the company who suggested it might be my problem, and weren't too bothered, so I gave up and went back to my usual company....

Out of interest, how much does a taxi normally cost from larnaka to the north?

£50 ..... is the norm .... but if more than two people in a family group it might be a bit more... A shared taxi if any one else is traveling at same time and day its £40 ...

Thanks - might be worth doing that. The southern car rentals that allow you to drive to the north are quite expensive. All the cheap ones like Sixt, enterprise say we cannot cross the border, although I am sure I have seen these companies when in the North

My transfers are £25 from Larnaca but that is with hiring a car from them, Aone

For years we have used 'yourway car hire' which is a brand of the family owned Petsas company.

They have a desk in Larnaca airport, are happy to let their cars go north and will even supply an insurance certificate if pre-booked. Just in case you are worried about there being no attendance at the control point when crossing in the early hours. Their rates are always good and certainly lower than companies in the north. But having the ROC plate means its easy to travel to the south too. But if you go shopping in the capital and park near Buyuk Han area, and want to walk through Ledra Street, then don't bother. You can only exit TRNC with the car, not on foot. HTH

Once again I am having problems booking transfers with Cyprus booking. Their website is terrible, it keeps coming up with error or invalid messages even though all the information is correct. After informing them 10 days ago I would have thought they would have the problem fixed by now. I am at a loss to understand how they are getting any bookings at the minute. Has anyone actually managed to book with them on their website?

I've been trying to book a Larnaca transfer on the pickupnorthcypryus website (who we've used several times previously), won't accept Tatlisu as a destination, won't send a message through the contact page and no reply to my email. Any other recommendations for transfers?

Be aware that Cyprusbooking.com may have a problem with their website on payment, not that it would cost you more but that it may not work. Saying that I have used them for years now and although everyone else who pays via card has no problem mine still refuses to work on line, it the shop it is fine!! They are a very, very good company and have never let us down. My mate from UK will not use anyone else and he demands a single passenger transfer (due medical problems he has) so it costs (Larnaca to Girne and return 800TL) which may seem a lot but he has a complete Vito all to himself and can take another four people with him for the same price if he wanted to. It's all about the holiday so why scrimp on a quality transfer???

Can someone explain to me, why if you book a taxi from A to B in TRNC it cost more if you have more than one person in the vehicle.

How have you found them recently? We have had poor service this year with them, which is a shame as they were so good last year.

What is his driving skills like?

Mustafa Transfer is excellent, have used him a few times, lovely guy, very reliable, comfortable ride 50 quid each way to Larnaca….. cannot recommend him enough. Don't know exactly what you mean about his driving skills...…. he knows the route, he knows the best crossing and will get you where you want to be, can't say fairer than that.

What I meant by ‘driving skills’ was, the usual company I use and recommended to my in-laws turned up 45 minutes late for the TRNC to Larnaca run earlier this week. As they were so late, the taxi driver had to drive very fast to ensure they made their flight. Not ideal for my 70+ year old in-laws… they were traumatised and got me in to trouble from my wife as I had recommended them

He was never late for any of our pick ups either way or indeed friends & family. Driving as good as anyone's.

Mustafa & his drivers do not use hand held phones, & Stay within speed limits. On time traffic permitting
