Hi we have friends staying on the base at Pyla next week. Can anybody tell me a good meeting point there for lunch? Please

Assuming you're talking about the base at Dhekalia it has to be Lambros on the beach. Best fish and chips on the island and the rest of the menu is top notch.

About a quarter of a mile after passport control there is a turning left, going across the base airfield. Follow that road to the end where there is a staggered crossroad. Go left and then immediately right, follow that road turn right when you come to the sea and park up at Cessac beach.

The small car park is usually packed out. if you use the car park for the sailing club which is just before it's usually half empty.

Just be aware that following recent events there may be heightened security when entering Dhekelia Station.
Can recommend the taverna for meals and also the CESSAC beach club next door if you were around for breakfast, teas or coffees.
