How often does the Belediyesi empty the bins. In Karaoglanoglu the bins are being emptied on a weekly basis, not ideal as the weather is gettting hotter.

In 13 years we've never ever had our bins emptied here in our part of Alsancack more than once a week (usually at 11.30 at night, but on odd occasions at 3.30am) If you have had yours more than that, they you're very lucky. For the first 3 years, we had to take black bin liners of rubbish down to the main road and hope the Belediye took them away before the stray dogs and cats attacked them.

so are we in Catalkoy village Sun night Wednesday night, I always help them by putting all my small bags in one big bag so all they have to do is open the bin and reach in. I would truly hate their job and wish a few more were a little more thoughtful on how they package their waste. our neighbours leave around 20 small bags out which are split open by cats and if I am early enough I do use a black bag and my marigolds and gather them up or sometimes they just look and drive passed which I do not blame them.

We are in Catalkoy and have our bin emptied once a week. As other streets near us were having their bins emptied twice weekly I went to the Belediye but didn't get anywhere. I can't understand why we are treated differently in our street. During the summer the cats were getting at the bins and there was rubbish all over the place, attracting the rats.

One of our cats learned how to open a bin - a brick on top of the dustbin lid puts a stop to that!

Having read most of the above messages, have come to the conclusion that our part of Alsancak is being short changed (despite my giving a Christmas pressie to the men every year) They are a great bunch and 'its a crap job) I can't understand why people don't use a black bin liner ALL the time. Hardly mega bucks are they?

Unfortunately as we only have one collection there is too much rubbish to close the bin and the overflow is in black bags.

Take it around to the Belediye offices and leave it on their doorstep.
Tell them why you have done so.

We only get a weekly pick up in Tatlisu. It's ok for me, as normally my bin is half full at most, but larger households must struggle, as I've noticed when family are staying, they generate far more rubbish per person, than I do.

alpha mike. the answer to that problem is to buy the next size up of bin. We had one of the smallest and decided we needed to up grade.
