BRS discount at Pit Stop

I called at Pit Stop yesterday to ask for a price to replace 2 tyres for my neighbours Ford Fusion,i was quoted 450tl. Made arrangements for work to be done this morning, tyres replaced, the man wanted paying. I offered my BRS discount card ( my neighbour is also a member but still in the UK) I don't think the young fella had seen one before so he rang his boss. I was told as the tyres should have been 260tl each so, discount had already been given, no mention of this yesterday. I'm sure my neighbour won't be too bothered about the 5% BRS discount, i just thought it was worth letting BRS members know about Pit Stops pricing policy.

So no brs discount so they should be taken off the list so not to direct brs members to them

I think you'll find this is just one of many. I understand they are supposed to have a notice to place in a prominent position, but that is as rare as hens teeth. At least that's my experience. I also believe you are supposed to let them know you have a card before doing business, which probably defeats the object!!!

I usually haggle for a discount wherever I am (except for food shopping and dining out, of course!) and usually manage to get something knocked off - that is what the locals do, after all...

I share your doubts as to whether there would be any additional discount with a BRS card produced after a deal was done

I have found it is usually best to get a quote then ask for your brs discount before having the work done or completing the purchase. This method has always worked for me so far.
