Anyone on the board know if this man is still in business? The time has come for me to get hearing aids and although I can get them in the South easily enough I would prefer to purchase in the North - I never go to the UK so all those options are out for me! For those who wear aids, I am interested in Starkey Halo 2 aids as they are made to work with iPhone and would serve a dual purpose for me. All replies welcome, you don't have to shout, I can still read - lol.

Waddo, I seem to remember some time ago someone saying Mr Said had passed away. There is, however, an excellent audiologist who I use. He is in Lefkosa and his name is Mertcan Senol and the company is called Medaid Medical Technologies. He speaks excellent English, and is the most helpful of people I have ever known. I believe he deals with Starkey aids, but also Widex which I got from him last year. I am profoundly deaf and so had to have the very best on the market which I believe the Widex I have, are. Widex also has an app for the I phone and various settings of course. The one setting which I find useful for me, as I suffer with severe tinnitus too, is the Zen program which plays sounds in your ear to retrain the brain and suppress the tinnitus. Mertcan's Email address is mertcan@medaidcyprus.com, I am afraid I don't have his phone number, but he is very quick to respond to emails. I think if you google Medaid Hearing Centre in Lefkosa you will find more information. The address is 3, Mehmet Ali Görmüş Sokak Köşklüçiftlik, Lefkoşa which is close to the British High Commission. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I have worn hearing aids for many years and am very pleased with both Mertcan and my latest state of the art ones. Hope this is helpful.
