Residency query

We are hoping to leave the island this year, and my residency is due at the end of May, I have just come back from Turkey having been given a 90 day stamp. Can I revert to a 90 day visa, providing I leave the island after that time, or will I have to renew my residency ? I am under 60. Thanks in advance.
