If by “Turkish” you mean TRNC then you can only get insurance for the south at the crossing in Metehan.

You can get insurance to cross at Beyarmadu too. You do need to get tax from Metehan.

You must first get a FOC Annual Certificate (sometimes called MOT but it is not) from an office at Metehan. You will need the Car Registration Document & your driving licence they will only accept TRNC licences from Cypriots.
This office is open Mon-Fri until 14.00 & is closed on Public Holidays so check before going!
You have to have this before you can get insurance which is 25 euro per month & you can have 4 names on the insurance without extra charge.
