Not sure how many of you know but a recent court case between Escape beach and the council has been ruled on, Following is translated from the newspaper but original link is here
http://kibrissondakika.com/mahkemeden-c ... li-olacak/
Av. Özgü Özyiğit decided on May 7th from Girne Accident Court. The decision regarding Escape Beach in Girne Extraction Beach will be valid in all the TRNC beaches and a family of 5 will pay only 0.63 TL or 63 cents for shower, cabin, toilet, deck chairs and parking service. . This price will apply to all the beaches in our country and the citizens will only pay 0.003 cents for each service

I think the .003 kurus for locals probably means free. Who in their right mind would take 1 kurus for any form of service?

We no longer live in TRNC however we spent almost 8 happy years there and we never minded paying a small fee to enter and use all good facilities on hand, think about what you pay in UK when you visit the coast
Parking always expensive poor facilities and crowded areas on the few hot days on offer,
be happy to pay a little and no parking fees we all forget that one.

I would gladly pay a small contribution if it meant the beach was maintained, there was a toilet to use and somewhere to place my rubbish.

"This price will apply to all the beaches in our country and the citizens will only pay 0.003 cents for each service"
Not against paying for services in any form at all but I would just like to point out the wording of the above please!
Being an expat and having tried for the past 11 years to gain citizenship of the TRNC and failed at every step, I accept the fact that I am NOT a citizen and am an ALIEN in this country. I would therefore not expect this new ruling to apply to me.
Comments?

weddinnorthcyprus, just as I thought, no-one has told the blokes in the kiosks on arrival (or for that matter told the people who run the beaches OR maybe they are just ignoring the new rules, Probably the latter.
