If you were with NTV and watched thru a mag box eno vip tv does a similar package including sky sports F1 6 months subscription for £55. They did advetise on one of the NTV pists. Goes under the usernam cypruselectronics

if you've got an Android device download Mobdro and you should be able to access Sky Sports F1...

I panicked! Had D-Smart installed instead. No FP1 or FP2 but FP3 and Quals yesterday on channel 78! Today at 21:10 the GP on channel 78 as well. Downside is the commentary which was so low as to be nearly missing. Answer for me was to put F1.com on iPad and listen to the commentary that way, slight delay but not as much as used to have with NTV.

Could not find Sky Sports F1 on any Kodi app either so just bit the bullet and bought the D-Smart, wife thinks it's great anyway, loads of films and stuff in English to watch.

Use Mobdro not Kodi to get Sky Sports F1 and all other Sky/Eurosport channels... no mucking about with Kodi involved

Groucho, I run IOS, Win 7 and Linux 17.1 on three separate PC's, no android devices at all - BUT - found a site https://getmobdro.net/linux/ which will allow me to use it - maybe. Will try install tonight if I have the time - for some strange reason the wife wants me to finish the kitchen job I am in the middle of, she must have heard about take away - lol.

Glad I did not bother, less overtaking that Monaco and LH just seems to be in whinge mode. He used to be an inspiring driver be never seems to attack these days, maybe the car and the whole extra downforce issue but they all have that and it does not stop Riciardo and Verstappen racing. I have always been a LH fan and I would like to see more records come his way but to be honest nothing inspiring is happening in the sport. A few years back and at roughly this point in the season LH had been responsible for more overtakes then the rest of the top 10 together (or something like that), certainly not like that these days.

Do you think perhaps the LH has lost the killer instinct? When you are close to the top of the richest sportsman in the world lisr, perhaps that's what happens?

You can also run Mobdro using an Android emulator like Bluestacks on a Windows PC.

Groucho, got it running on Bluestacks on my win 7 PC, now very nearly bald due to problems with my Linux box - no further forward on that one. Also found it can be run direct to a Smart TV, got one here I think but can't figure that out either. Guess the wife is right, back to kitchen fixing tomorrow - lol.

Mercedes made a big mistake in not bringing their upgrades to Canada - everyone else did and that is why the child in the red car got so far ahead! I will wait till France and then lets see what happens there when the full pack of upgrades arrives. Don't think LH has lost his killer instinct though, I guess when your tyres don't hold the track then the only thing you can do is be Hartley!!

The wider car means more down force, this gets interrupted when following another car (something that often happens in motor racing), therefore the car following loses grip and degrades tyres. Current race strategies are focused round tyres so basically the rules stop racing. When you are toward the front the margins on tyre wear are critical. If you are out in front you have less problem with this issue therefore the lead car has less wear therefore can control the race, a car coming close behind to challenge for the lead can quickly lose any advantage they had with tyre wear.

So in answer to your question I am not sure however it has been noticed that when LH gets the championship in the bag he stops pushing. Some also say he is always on at the engineers on the radio, they all are but LH gets broadcast the most. Alonso says a lot, does not get broadcast, Massa used to be terrible and no-one talks to Mr Mumbles any more which is a shame because they were always entertaining.

Jonnie, I always remember Jackie Stewart's motto - win the race going as slow as possible - His strategy was to lead and be impossible to pass and don't test the reliability unless you really have to... May not make for the best spectacle but you've got to acknowledge the logic and intelligence to resist the red-mist which tends to lead to bad decision making at high speeds...

The new breed of F1 car are possibly now over-complex and need time to bed-in the various technologies being utilised ... Whether the F1 owners and the FIA will have patience to give it the time needed for this to settle is yet to be seen - they seem to shoot from the hip and react to criticism with undue haste.
