Where oh where do you get keys cut in North Cyprus?

I have been looking for 2 weeks now but cannot find anywhere. Some guy in a Yapi market said Girne, but when I went, I could not see anywhere.

Bahceli area.

TIA

Nowhere near Tatlisu to Esentepe. Go into GIrne, pass the Pia Bella Hotel on your left and then the State Hospital on your right. On the right hand side there is a key cutting outlet which enjoys a good reputation with many expats.

Thanks. I have to sort out a car registration in the next few days, which I believe is in the same area, so will call in and get it done then. Are there any silly rules like having to take your passport along with you or something similar?

Trigger, don't wish that on us for heavens sake, there are enough rules and regulations as it is. I agree with the suggestions above. Unlike some other key cutters, I have never had to take a key back a second time for tweaking.

Not quite sure why but some UAE countries will not let you get a key cut without ID. Not quite sure of the purpose that it serves mind you.

Thanks for the replies.

There’s a “key cutter” in the square in the centre of Kyrenia opposite 1001 - about 2 doors down from the Brabantia shop - just look for the big key symbol in the window

coming from east of Girne between hospital and the law courts is an art studio on main road (on right) in a standalone building - cant miss it. The next building across the side road immediately after studio is locksmith and he did all my keys. Spot on.

also, no ID was required. Just straight forward process - and he has massive selection of keys - even did me spare car key. Also sells safes and alarm systems etc.

Lezana, that's the one a friend went to in desperation because he had broken his car key and had been told it was going cost ??? (whatever stupid money) by a garage. The bloke took it off him, went up and down a whole row of blanks, and finally said "this one will do I think" and it did. Obviously not one with batteries (or maybe it was, I'm not sure))
