Are there any jewellers shops in Girne that do gold repairs? I want some extra links put into a bracelet, but not sure if the shops here will do that - or is it best to go to Lefkosa?

I think the one on the left hand corner down the main street at the cross roads has been recommened on forums before, I am trying there when I arrive for my hols as I want 3 weddings rings made into one if possible, I know I can get it done in Turkey but I am not going until next June.

Its called Resat but most of the gold shops do repairs I take mine to Senak next to the mosque in the old harbour.

Deniz. Do you know if they will melt gold down and make another ring?

Personaly i would not touch anywhere in Girne for gold repair i would try Guzeleyurt or near by as Girne has a name of RIP OFF Girne

They have a workshop were they make jewellery so I would think so. Go and see Huseyin he speaks excellent English. He doesnt rip me off in fact he has repaired stuff for free.

We took a gold bangle back to Senak for repair NINE YEARS after buying it from him and there was no charge. I'm sure he'd be glad to repair your gold if you give him a chance to tempt you into buying his rather fine diamonds!

I would also recommend Resat in Girne for repairs. My sister had a bracelet repaired there 2 weeks ago, all done within the hour and no charge. However, I wouldn't expect free repairs if you are not a previous customer.
