For the record, the said road is blocked on Saturday, the 20th of July 2019. I write this, because this thread has resurfaced after a year ... and I felt "tomorrow" might cause confusion. This post has therefore been edited.

Tomorrow morning there will be a rehearsal for the 20 Temmuz ceremony - about 2km of the Mağusa road will be blocked in both directions from the Near East University junction to the Bayrak Radio Television headquarters. The road will be blocked from 8am until the rehearsal finishes ... maybe, say, 10.30 am.

If you're driving from Girne to, say, the airport tomorrow morning, then you could either ;
- go straight on at the big Gönyeli roundabout into Lefkoşa, fork left at the Merit Hotel, and then left again at the bus station roundabout ... back out on to the Mağusa road
or
- take the Buffavento mountain road

Or maybe if travelling from the Esentepe/Tatlisu region use the eastern mountain road and then via Gekicale, Serdali.

Mine's an orta şekerli Soner. Hopefully though the resurfacing of this thread from last year won't cause confusion on the forum.

If this thread re-surfaces next year I may end up with a queue outside my home. Remind me to lock the thread on Saturday.
