Hi Libby,

Lots of airlines allow more than one piece of checked baggage as long as it doesn't exceed their Kg limit. Does this apply with Pegasus, or is it limited to one piece?

If the limit is one, can I book another bag and do you have any idea how much that would be and how do I go about it,

Cheers

If you check in at Stansted it is ONE hand luggage and they strictly enforce that policy, came through last month and watched the check in. Plus when you go to plane they will check again and if you are over weight or more than ONE bag you have to get rid somehow or pay £50 or you do not fly.

At last an airline that enforces its policies like easyJet and Ryanair.

double checked with our representative at Ercan - and travelling from here - you can have more than one piece of hold luggage as long as you do not exceed your weight.
As for Stansted - go with the above post - to be on the safe side........

thanks for that info. I fly so rarely and travel fairly light, but it is good to know how the limits are enforced. Actually when I did go to U.K two years ago with p|egasus, the lady at the check in was SOOO helpful to me, but not to the two lads before who were rude to her! She just told me to take a ocuple of things out and put in hand luggage (again I was under the limit), which I did. But the lads before had loads of extra bags and were quite offensive. so, there has to be a message there as well as obeying the rules.
But thanks again, very useful to inform family members who may be coming out.

Thanks Libby and for other replies.

I did take 2 pieces a couple of years ago and paid online for the extra bag (within the weight) but can't see anywhere to do it anymore, maybe they've changed their policy now.

Thanks again.

sorry, I meant to type hand luggage, have corrected post number 2.

They let you take hold baggage at extra cost but it is not cheap. Have you checked web site - http://www.flypgs.com - I know other poster have done so in the past and quoted what you need to do and the costs. Me,always travel light. Only time ever had excess was when we moved out here, before Pegasus, and we just told nice check in lady and it all went at no extra.

I believe the problem lies with people over the years taking everything including the kitchen sink and being allowed to get away with it. Those who now innocently go over are paying the price for that. My sad sense of humour but find it hilarious when some still try it on and find Stansted in particular so strict that even with all the crying, screaming and kicking they are still not allowed.

Hiya, I'm aware that I can book extra weight for hold baggage (£6 per kilo online) but I'm bringing over an item which, although fairly bulky, is quite light, so I won't have more than 20Kg in total but will need to check this item into the hold as a seperate box, in addition to a suitcase.
