I’m looking for a company that produce electronic car keys which will then enable me to keep a spare key.

It depends on the age of the car,you might have to go to the main dealership with the log book and some ID

Or ask Tiga Trading to get you one...

Tiga are asking for 1.000 lira .

We had a spare done for our 2007 RAV by Sahir Anhaktarcilik as mentioned above. No problem with programming, I can't remember exactly how much but it seemed a lot at the time but for peace of mind it is worth it as I mislaid our one and only once!!

That's about what the main dealers charge, we've paid that much to the Mitsubishi dealer in the South for a new key - I think that they would be simply passing on the cost to you.

You would at least know that it was an OEM part...

We ordered one in the UK from a main dealer and brought it out to Cyprus, took it to Citroen garage who programmed it to our car.

There is a key cutting shop on the same road as the Girne Hospital. Same side of the road heading down past the hospital ( on the right) going in towards the courts etc. They will cut and programme a key for you. Had one done in March. Works fine and cost about 250 to I think.
