I think that the issue here would be getting KODI installed on a MAG box in the first place...
Here's a quote that I found on a
forum: -
"It isn’t an easy mission to install XBMC/Kodi on an Linux based box, because the MAG 254 is just made for single purpose as an IPTV box, not a general purpose box.
In my opinion, its easier to get a high performance Android box, and install Kodi and STB emulator in practice, better than to repurpose the MAG STB. If Infomir was able to make it work (they have done it with MAG 260), I’m pretty sure they would have already done it."
Bert may be better placed to advise though...

I didn’t say it was easy and I agree I would definitely go down the route of an high end android box and would strongly suggest the Nvidia Shield 2017 pro, having said that it’s a bit lumpy on price but by far the market leader at the moment . Depends however what you wish to do with it. If it’s just BBC and itv and a few movies etc then I would suggest a reasonable alternative to be the Amazon Fire Tv and of at a later date you wish to do more then upgrade to Nvid
