Ah...thanks for the clarification.
If your beers are still 10TL then I think that's pretty standard.
Hopefully pay a visit on your next Steak Night on 19th.

10-12 TL, as opposed to 8-10 TL a few weeks ago is not unreasonable given the fall in the value of the Lira.

All Alcoholic drinks have had government added tax put on them.
Hardy's wine in Supreme went up from 24.95 tl to 40 tl. 60% increase Is it all tax or added extra profit?

Or is it that it now costs Supreme 60% more TL to buy it wholesale, because of the 60% decrease in the value of the lira vs other currencies like the Australian dollar ?

Erol.
Of course you are correct that costs have increased due to the exchange rates and these have to be added to the goods.
However a short while ago the price was 19.95 tl per bottle and now it's 39.95tl. That is 100% increase and seems high to me against the inflation rate.

Possibly because...
Soner wrote:Anyone wishing to name and shame on this site can do so providing that they WhatsApp me so I can take a screenshot of their face, email me a copy of their passport and proof of address, then add a message to their post stating that they take full responsibility for what they have posted.
... in other words, you can say..."that seems a little expensive" or "I wonder how they justify that price" or something of the sort, but not (without evidence, and without taking the aforementioned steps) say "That's Profiteering!" - as you may put the forum at risk of being sued for libel
Businesses in TRNC are very protective of their 'good name' and fairly 'trigger happy' when it comes to lawsuits, so you can't blame a forum owner for being reluctant to allow anything on the forum that might result in them having to spend time and money defending in Court! - regardless of whether it might be true, or not!

Perhaps I'm wrong, and stand to be corrected, but anybody is free to make any statement about a business owner/company face to face - and subsequently chance being sued IN PERSON, but (understandably) it is not acceptable for Soner (or ANY forum owner) to be sued for what a poster has said....
