Just posted about fly tipping about locals, but recently some of my fellow British expatriates have been treating this stunning place worse than the locals.

I watch most mornings many people walk their dogs on the beach without picking the poo up. There are bins placed around the beach, but the road down to the beach and the actual beach is covered with dog faces, so much it reminded me of the UK in the 70s. Someone is feeding a stray dog and he wonders around the sites and beach, and no one clears up after him/ her.

The breaking point, I watched a man in a silver car walk both his labs, pood, right in front of him and didn't pick up the mess. To compound it he gave his dogs water , then threw the bottle on the beach and drove off to his private villa.No better than the fly tippers !!!

We have many locals and children use the beach, do poo carries some very nasty infections including blindness. I am a dog lover, this is not a rant to get rid of dogs. There are many responsible owners who carry poo bags , but there are as many who just leave it.

I am hoping the dog, annimal community will gather and have a clear up like we do with rubbish and bottles, I don't have a dog or smoke, its the two things I won't pick up.

I hope the gentleman who I spotted doesn't do it again , or I will name and shame

Name and shame, plus address if you have absolute proof of guilt.

This is one of the the sort of thing (although not posted in C2D) that the Mayor of Alsancak is getting all up tight about. Its not just excess of dogs in some houses but the muck they produce when they are taken for walks., He wants people as you describe to be "complained" about and then warnings as appropriate made to them.. I think that's fair enough don't you?

The problem is there are lots of people doing it, some at 5.30 am , I can't patrol all day with my camera, I was hoping the dog owners have picked up on the thread
