we just had three replaced also the transformer and it cAME TO £800 SO THINK BEFORE YOU BUY. What you save in electricity may not equal what you pay out for the LRED's. The actual cost per light was 148 Euro.

I bought 2 for around £100 from Topclean about 2 years ago-went from 500w per light to 18w per light-no need to replace transformer as they all work off 12v DC.
Fitted them myself.
I think you got stitched up big time there pc4854.

I bought 2 on amazon £60 each. Could someone not bring them over for you? Save you a mint by the sounds of it. I needed a transformer, but I was having a whole new electric board made and fitted so the electrician did it all at the same time. My new board cost me £400 by the way which included the transformer.

The same transformer as used for the old lights works well for the LED's, so no additional cost there.

I think you will find they were 300 watts each originally and they actually work off 12 volts AC.Philoz wrote:I bought 2 for around £100 from Topclean about 2 years ago-went from 500w per light to 18w per light-no need to replace transformer as they all work off 12v DC.
