Easyjet have just released their flight schedule for LCA-BRS for next summer starting 1st June. Very reasonable prices if you avoid the school holidays, especially if you are from/going to West country and East Wales, surrounding area's.

Just a caveat to the post above.
We live in the West Country so this is good for us.
However it is not clear to me how Brexit post March 2019 will affect flying into and out of Larnaca Airport and crossing the border. Will the Greek Cypriot authorities allow this, will they ask questions, will they insist on seeing a booking/address in the ROC. Will they allow U.K. citizens to cross the border into the TRNC or back the other way for day trips or flights from airports in the south. I think it’s something to be thought about if considering booking flights into and out of the south, at least until things have settled down or become clearer.
From recent British High Commission statements U.K. citizens entering the south on holiday or who own/rent properties in the south are protected, but for us in the TRNC things seem less clear.

I had exactly those concerns just now when looking to book for August next year, but the price was so good...
I'm hoping that this statement, that was included in the recent European Commission statement, will be all-inclusive, and the current system will be maintained, at least for a little longer - but who knows?
"Transition period: It is the period immediately after the UK leaves the EU, which starts on 30 March 2019 and lasts until 31 December 2020. During this period free movement of UK nationals and their family members will continue."
Will be interesting to see if holiday insurance covers Brexit issues, such as changes to border crossing permissions etc., which were unknown at the time of booking?

We can but hope that during the transition period at least, things will remain much as they are now.
I am sure that post 29th March 2019 there will be plenty of members posting and advising there experiences at the airports and also crossing the border.

That’s a 2017 article, and his future-gazing couldn’t be more wrong with airlines offering flights right now, as always:
"by September 2018 when your average British voter is sitting down to work out where he is going on his holidays in 2019, the two options he will have are to drive to Scotland or get a ferry to Ireland."
But what is unknown, is whether these bookings will be honoured, and if flights will actually happen.
It’s a bit like playing the lottery...

On another thread someone said:
"If the ROC do decide to make things difficult then we will have to adapt and if that means flying in or out via Ercan or not crossing to the south so be it."
Well that is fine if you live in Essex and come to North Cyprus on holiday. But if you live in the west of England, or live her permanently, then it could be really bad news.

I live in Devon. When we travel to N Cyprus its for 4months at a time a couple of times a year and currently we usually fly from a London airport.........either to Larnaca or Ercan.
There are already flights Bristol to Paphos but that’s still a long trek to the north, so the announcement of flights from Bristol to Larnaca is good news. However no one knows how the ROC may react once the UK leaves the EU. Maybe after 29/3/2019 nothing will change or maybe it will. If the ROC make things difficult then we will fly into Ercan via Heathro, Gatwick or Birmingham. If they don’t make things difficult then we will try Bristol to Larnaca.
For us whatever happens we will adapt because we love North Cyprus.

I personally believe there will be a „deal“, T.May will not survive that and the social split in the UK will deepen.
“pokerfaces” (to call a bluff) and “backbones” you will see from people who can afford a Brexit easily only.
Like Rees-Mogg. Or people enjoing the sun somewhere. Or shortsellers. Or the HSBC.
All others will have “more problems only” as they have today.
But in any case… time is the problem.. also for aircarriers which need to plan the next season and the brexit.
Just to be on the safe side, Easyjet has pulled out 180 aircrafts from the UK to form a new EU company in Vienna. And another one in Switzerland.
Easyjets new code for EU registered aircrafts for flight within the EU is EJU .
If there will be problems with flights from the UK to the EU (no matter the transition period) because old contracts can not be transferred into new ones that quickly, then it might happen that holiday makers plan to go to Turkiye instead of Spain or TRNC instead of RoC.
And?… that only leads to skyrocketing airfares to IST/IZM/ANT/DAL/ESB and to ECN definitely as simply only a limited number of planes are available to fly these routes….
The TRNC gov already complained many times that there should be more flights for lower prices.
You may better plan your 2019 holiday today.

Already planning our flights for post March 2019. Looks like Ercan for us in April unless it’s confirmed that there will be no changes implemented by authorities in the ROC. Then we will see what develops as to whether we return to the U.K. via Ercan or Larnaca a few months later.
One thing is for certain is it will not stop us travelling to N Cyprus.
