The problem escalates because people press on the message and forward to their friends, who then do the same and so it goes on.

This hoax message (and another similar one recently) should cause people to think merely because of the instruction "Hold your finger on the message until the forward button appears...." - exactly what effect will you get if (like tens of thousands) you have a laptop or desktop that does NOT have a touch screen, and you don't have a tablet or smartphone.....
