have you had the misfortune to have this message recently. At least three people have and have been confused, angry and hurt by it. No warnings - just up pops a message 'You have been permanently banned'. Now I know that some folk have after warnings from soner that theycould be banned, but of these who were confused, angry and hurt - ONE OF THEM WAS ME!!!! I wondered what I had done to Offend Lord Soner.
Earlier my very dear friend who is Chairperson of the NCCCT got the same message, and she wondered what she had done. And now someone else is querying it.

It does seem that some cyberspace Gremlin has it in for some of us. I though maybe it was my computer, but it seems t be a bigger glitch than that.

so this notiice is to say that if it happens to you, get in touch somehow and it will be sorted. As I say, as far as I know, the only people who are REALLY banned are where they have been warned

for the rest of us, it remains a mystery which fortunately soner solves.

It's those dodgy 'smilies', that's what it is!

Ban 'em, I say

I am sure Soner will investigate further.

Usernames might help to understand who got the messages and would be a good start to tracking down the reasons why.

Perphaps those affected could PM Soner.

that's the point PID. They have to contact soner because no one else has the miracle wand to solve the problem. I felt as if I had been cut off from humanity, and the only reason I posted this is to comfort others to whom it may (hope it never does again) happen.

Marions- sorry to hear you have been banned permanently,can't say I am surprised to be honest,I think the other mods have had enough of your dyslexic keyboard ,:D

Also Marions,being unable to log on to Kibcom ,although a wonderful service,doesn't I think equate as being 'cut off from humanity' in the true sense of the phrase.

Now, being dumped in the middle of the Antarctic wearing just your undercrackers with only a bag of Walkers cheese and onion for sustenance,would ,In my humble opinion truly qualify as 'Being cut off from humanity' .

But not sure of the relevance to my previous post?
I think I am very relaxed- hence my comment that being unable to log on to Kibcom was not a big deal.

There is no problem with the forum set up, no hackers or gremlins. Problem was at user end, possibly over heated computer that needed re-booting.
