Does anyone know of a private company that uplifts garden rubbish.
I live in Lapta and have been to Belydesi but unfortunately their 'grabber' is not working and they said it would be quite some time before it gets repaired!!!!
It looks unsightly and it's not fair on neighbours having to look st it.

I've found the best way is to phone up and hire a skip from Lapta Belediyesi. It's only 85 tl for 24 hours. Very efficient and the skips are large so can take a lot of garden rubbish. They come and pick it up the next day.

Well that's good of Lapta Belediye isn't it? Their grabber is knackered so you can't have it, but they charge 85tl for a skip instead.

I hate to use comparisons between UK & NC but you'd be lucky to get a small skip for £100 in UK where I live

Sophie - Lapta charged us 71.50 TL when they sent their grabber to collect our garden rubbish in July!

Just a thought - it may not be possible for a lady to get the cuttings, which are often spiky and very heavy palm leaves up into a skip!

We've just got a bill for 200TL plus kdv from Lapta for taking some of a pile of garden waste which had accumulated at the front of our house. I was away but Sally said that the grabber was half full when they arrived so they could only take so much. They also dropped most of it along the road as they drove away, which we had to clear up. So a skip looks like a good deal to me.

I also recently got charged over 200tl for a pretty large pile of garden waste but no way a full load.
Lapta council have inherited a 24 million TL debt from the recently departed mayor, so I guess this is a way of trying to balance the books.
I have taken a photo of my current rubbish pile so if I get another silly bill I'll be off to the Bele

We have been billed 200tl + kdv for a full load followed by a letter and visit to tell us that we have to use the skip service.
Our road is mainly locals (we have only been here for a mere 12 years) and the locals put out their garden rubbish outside their wall and it gets collected every time by the grabber NO BILLS.
The only idiots that have to get skips are the non"locals"
I have never seen a skip outside a locals house ever
.One even puts his rubbish on top of the sign that says NO RUBBISH

All of our neighbours are TC they told us to put all the rubbish outside their house otherwise we would have to pay for it to be moved. We had cleared a lot so big load . No charge.

Bloody 'ell, treating foreigners like foreigners - what a novel concept. Maybe they should try it in the UK, roll on Brexit.

How about messaging the new mayor of Lapta on facebook. Explain to him what's going on.
By all accounts he is trying to improve the system.
Just a suggestion.
