Does anyone know where I can get my mobile gas heater looked at please? It fires up then goes out after 20/30 seconds, very odd?

Probably faulty thermostat . You could try and clean the probe in case it's just dirty. Otherwise tektans in girne used to fix them .

Gas heaters don't have thermostats but do have thermocouples which is a flame failure safety device. If the flame goes out it cools down and closes the gas valve. And, if faulty will give the fault described. It also acts as a oxygen depletion sensor. If the heater is used in a closed room with no air (oxygen) coming in to replace that which is used by the fire it will shut down. This would take far longer than the 20 to 30 seconds mentioned, probably a couple of hours.

I have had this problem, cleaning the spout at the front where the gas comes out with an old toothbrush worked for me.
