military jets flying low??

Morning
just wondering if i had missed anything that may explain why we currently have several military fighter jets flying low over the coast and land. as far as i know it isn't a day of training or special occasion unless I've missed something as usually these things are advertised or pre informed or is there anything going on that maybe we don't know about?

F-16 fighter jets, grey ones not the red ones.

ahhh cheers, thank you for letting me know, thats eased my mind now as i had no idea. unfortunately i hadn't seen or heard anything mentioned anywhere about it. panic over.

mermaidsexist, hi there, just as a matter of interest, what made you panic? You will find that Turkish jets are used to celebrate any number of State occasions throughout the year, so if you get yourself a Turkish Diary or check on line, then you'll be forewarned.

hi sophie, stupidity on my behalf most probably but being close to syria and previous probs with turkish fighter jets scrambling away russian jets i probably jumped the gun a bit n started wondering if something was being chased off lol .

I noticed them too, and heard them roar overhead. I was relieved to realise it was the Turkish AF and not some other state. They make me feel rather safe.

Apologies accepted Bullsnil. The very best we have ever had was out at sea, plus totally uninterrupted view of the inside of a jet engine when plane was vertical, awesome
