Went to Beli today for the renewal permit for outside gas tanks and they have not yet received the new yearly amount to be charged. This may take a few days yet and will phone me(inshallah) when they arrive. Hope this saves anyone an unnecessary trip.

Hi
We are relatively new here and have not yet done anything with our gas tanks apart from visited Intergaz and had them transferred to us from the last owners. They did fill them for us on a once only offer and told us we needed to get a fire certificate before they would do it again.
Could someone please educate us as to what we need to do so they will fill us up again when we need it, we come under Esentepe Belediyesi. Costs would be helpful too.
Many thanks
Lasagne

Hi all
I had been told that I would need a fire certificate from Girne but no one has mentioned the Belediyesi.
Could someone please outline the whole process for a ‘newbie’?
Kind regards
Lasagne

Hi there I opted to use a similar service as posted by Kerry to obtain my initial gas permit and thus avoid the language barrier and constant visiting to various offices. If you have the dosh then it makes things a lot easier.some people like to do it their own way,Each to his own. Having gained the certificate it's a very simple matter each year to renew it personally. I must say that this department appears to be the most organised with files neatly stacked and the staff very friendly. Having used the same method recently to record my villa on the title deeds( more costly) I have now obtained the new Kochan. It all works you just have to decide what route to take and of course costs involved. It's alway nice to know a man who can.
