Has anyone else received notification of winning the national lottery?
I've had an email notifying me that my email address has been drawn out randomly.
How can I find out if it's a scam, these kind of things just do not happen to me!!!!!

I think it sounds like a scam, if you are registered online for the national lottery, and you win something they will send you an e mail saying to check your account. If there is a link on the e mail don't click on it go through the nationĂ l lottery web site.
Generally speaking if something is too good to be true then it generally is where e mails claiming of big wins are concerned.
Hope this helps

If you are an on line player then simply open your account (but not via a link, do it seperately) and if you have won they will message you there. However, lately, I have lost track of the number of Tax Refunds, winnings, paypal and bank account abnormalities I seem to suddenly possess. No one now should open and take for granted any email that has anything at all to do with money. Always, always open your accounts without going through the emails and if in doubt ignore it. Another point with the National Lottery, if you do play it and you are not a UK resident then apart from small winnings you will be unable to claim anyway.

oohhps, No I've never done it online. I tried to send a reply asking to confirm it was not a scam. Guess
what, it came up as postmaster failure.
I wonder what will happen now?

Definitely a scam. and often if you look at the addressee it has been sent to loads of people, or to someone who does not have your name. They are not very clever theswe scammers. If you really do the Lottery, you can check the results on line, and that is all you need - the rest is rot. How do they know your e mail address???? You don't give that when you do the Lottery, and don't forget you can't do the english lottery form here. It has to be someone in U.K to do it for you.
I agree it would be lovely if this was not a scam, because I have had so many of those notifications that I would now have houses in London, australia and Italy!!!!

It's a scam they do not notify you if you have won and also you are not entitled to take part if you are not in the UK

Sorry, no drinks. Only one number! Oh dear and I was so looking forward to being generous!
As to how I do it. My son( well, Alan's son really) does it in U.K and then periodically i give him money to cover my losses!!! But one day. in the meantime be assured that there is no wayit can be done from here. They won't accept an entry. Must be something clever in the cyberspace system, because it won't let you do it from here. So find a friend or rellie you can trust. I have offered my son 10% when I get the big one, so hope that will keep him honest!!!!!

you can do it from Cyprus if you use a VPN and change it so that your ISPN comes up in the UK.

That's well and good until you win and try claiming your winnings and they find you live outside the UK then your win becomes nul and void
