What's going on with all the traffic trying to get into Girne today - there are road blocks everywhere, bypass is closed........

The bypass is being re surfaced (tarmac) it should be open again as normal tomorrow.

Yup, sure needs resurfacing!

I wouldn't mind but I think we will be in agreement that there are plenty of other roads in desperate need of a resurface!

What about the bit infront of the Alpet petrol station leading up to the roundabout, they repaired 'something' and took the top surface off and have forgotten to replace it, needless to say they will soon be an accident as some drivers seem intent on avoiding the rough bit

The bypass is open from the Girne end heading towards Alsancak now, but the other side is still closed. I think they could probably have resurfaced worse roads but perhaps as its the only decent road they want to keep it that way

i heard it something to do with the fact the company who did road works found faults in it and had to come back to make good

Think the Girne - Lefkosa road is in more need of repair. now that the heavy lorries all seem to be using it.
