In between dealing with all of the many things everyone at KAR has to do we also like to try and collate numbers and details of cases that we have dealt with. It helps us in future planning, helps us to look at trends, gives us an idea on what funds have been spent where etc. Plus it is helpful when people question " What exactly do KAR do " !!!
Every year we compile our records and this year we have put some together for what we have achieved over the last 17 years.
Be prepared to be shocked !!!

Over the last 17 years (since 2001) some 3270 lucky lucky cats and dogs have been found "furever"homes by KAR. 2805 dogs and 465 cats.
Over the last 17 years - wait for it - 13,912 cats and dogs have been neutered by KAR. 3755 dogs and 10,157 cats !.
How many unwanted puppies and kittens has that prevented ??????
So next time you are asked "What exactly do KAR do ?" you have just part of the answer as to what we do.
What would have been the situation IF KAR were not here doing what they do - and doing it very well too !!!

Well done EVERYONE who has played their part and helped in any way, over the last 17 years.

I'm not a big fan of animal charities in the UK. Well actually I'm a big critic.
But I am ceaseless in my praise of KAR and will always jump to their defense when they are criticised.

Same here. They are fantastic dedicated people doing a thankless job.

Im sure KAR are extremely grateful for the words of support, but I can't help but notice that they are pleading for volunteers to help both at the Centre and the shops. I understand that hours might have to be cut through lack of shop volunteers.
