About six weeks ago one of the arms on our electric gates would not open? A friend of mine took it to a well know shop in town. They finally returned the arm (not fixed) apparently the motor needs rewinding but they cannot source the wire? Is it that difficult to find on the Island? I have looked on line to no avail.

Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried Press Teknik? They're on the Alsancak/Lapta border just beyond and on same side of road as Starling heading West. They rewind the motors on pool pumps so may be able to help.

Thank you for your response. I am willing to give anything a try, so frustrating when you are used to using electric gates.

I know. It’s a real pain getting out of the car to open the gates. Sigh

There's a motor rewind shop. On main road by Blue Island Catalkoy not far from Malpas Hotel.
