I have an old school friend coming over for a visit next week, and I have suggested a leisurely 'Bar Crawl' in Girne.
Problem is-I don't know any!!
Not looking for 'Rave clubs' or similar-just good friendly drinking houses.
Any suggestions ?

If you take in the Vindaloo curry that you are threatening to have you may not get further than the first pub and your crawl could be restricted to the nearest toilet. If you eat said curry at the end of the pub crawl it could mean a complete refurbishment of the premises for the Landlord !

So it is looking like the 'bar crawl' will amount to 'Whisky Joe's'.
I was hoping for some tips- Obviously people here don't get out as much as I thought(other than restaurants, and 'charity' events).
Rest assured I will probably end up attempting to dance 'Gangnam Style' about 3am wearing a toilet seat on my head at a jaunty angle.
Deputy-Not had the curry yet, but you will be the first to know.

If you like rock music, ie Cream, led Zeppelin, the Stones,Deep Purple then try the HADES bar, every friday the group ROCK AND ROLL CIRCUS play there, not sure of the times but they are brilliant. And
If you are into Turkish pop remixes try Cream bar, no holds barred, every age, gender, orientation welcome, a very relaxing, fun experience, with pole dancing, [usually by my hubby]a great laugh.

HI, Hades bar. Coming from the catalkoy end, pass the law courts, the fire station, and it is on the left, in front of the supermarket on the corner, it is not obvious, as it is down some steps to a basement.
Well worth a visit, Rock and Roll Circus are fantastic.
Re hubby,s pole dancing, no offence taken, definately not for the squeamish
