I am just about to start renting out my villa and wondered what people use to lock up their double wardbrobes from holiday makers? Is it just a small padlock, or something else? I have stayed in an apartment before and they used those invisible locks, but i think for some reason they are for single wardbrobes, where these ones are double. Thank you

Our friends , who rent their's apartment out for the summer months, put all their private stuff in the master bedroom and lock the room up and just rent it as a two bed apartment.

Depending on what type of handles your wardrobes have, you can get a bike cable lock like in the link below and thread it though both handles wrapping it around and then lock it - quite effective.

If you are renting out your apartment, why are you locking up the wardrobes. ? I would be most upset to go into a rented apartment and find I couldn't hang up my clothes as the wardrobe was locked.

Stella, maybe the renters have some personal items in the house, which after all they may use from time to time? We did.
