Anybody with any ebook reader should have Calibre which is completely free to download and use. It will manage an interface between your computer and your reader and convert any ebook format to any other.

Do you know how to get the books for sony e reader on that site? I can only find kindle books on that site and they are not compatible

For Sony Reader look for books in EPub format, should be plenty. Calibre will also convert to EPub from Kindle MOBI format but sometimes the conversion is not great.
