Not a new subject I know but as a party of six we went to our favorite beach bar at the start of phase one of the Lapta walkway,
They have set out a section of the bar as a restaurant and very nice it is too.
Ordered drinks and perused the menu with the full intention of a good afternoon wining and dining, then three women sat at the next table shortly followed by three men not ex pats ,there was another table taken by two ladies with a small baby in a pram.
Then three of the group started smoking in this totally enclosed space, when asked to stop as this is the law they said that they can!!! even after pointing out the small child we were met with a shrug, the only thing we could do is vote with our feet as the turkish waiter shrugged as well.
Where do I complain to on a Sunday afternoon?

Suggest you complain to the owner/manager at the time. Follow up with a complaint to your belidiye and name the restaurant involved on this forum so others are aware of the policy (albeit against the law) so readers can decide if this is where they wish to eat and spend their money/time.

I have noticed that the Non smoking rule is getting lax in quite a number of places lately. I pointed this out in a large Girne establishment a couple of weeks ago. The waiter walked off, pressed a button and suddenly virtually all the large windows lowered half way. Its their version of the open air I guess.
