We have family traveling by bus from Paphos to the North next week.

I understand the bus stops at the Nicosia Bus Terminal which hopefully is not far from the Ledra Crossing.

Is this correct as I’m planning to meet them on the North side when they arrive.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I think the bus goes to Kapnos which is not near Ledra Street but they should be able to get a bus from there to the Central bus station at Solomos Square which is nearer (about 700m away). Do they know the number of the bus that they are to get at Paphos? Is this it? http://www.cyprusbybus.com/routedetails.aspx?id=251
If so they can get off at Kapnos, cross the road and get another bus to Solomos Square or a taxi to near the crossing.

I have always been able to get a bus from Paphos direct to Solomos Square. It is then aporox 15 minute walk to Ledra Street.

Surely easier to get a taxi, even for a short ride, to Ledra Palace. Its quiet, no hustle and a short walk between the two gates and you can park in a side street very close.

The airport buses stop at Kapnos but the intercity buses stop at the bus terminal which is within walking distance of Ledra Street. It’s at the southernmost gate of the walled part of the city.

Art, whilst unsure of timings, your guests might not appreciate lugging cases in the heat and in S. Nicosia with the heat rising up from the tarmac as they walk towards any of the Ledra crossings from wherever the bus drops them. Might I suggest a taxi to Ledra Palace crossing for them, you park up close to the checkpoint on this side and walk across to meet them as a previous poster mentioned? Far more comfortable for all.

Tamam, call received. I menat Ledra Palace crossing - doh!

Agree with Tom about using the Ledra Palace crossing rather than Ledra Street - easy taxi drop off on the south side - quick walk through and you can park very close on the north side - finding the Ledra street crossing for first time can be difficult

It’s between £180-£200 from paphos to your front door,return in a taxi ,just saying.
