Does anyone know if the tourist sites will also be closed?
St Hilarion
Soli
Vouni
Guzelyurt Museum
They are managed by government employees I believe so does this mean they will be closed?
Any information gratefully received for friends here holiday-making

There is a massive picnic/barbecue on the road from Camlibel to Kalkanli near the Kalkanli picnic area. It has to be seen to be believed!

Will Silver Rocks be closed on May 1st? Hasn't happened previously, and shops and petrol stations have opened after lunch!

Very confusing, a friend had a letter telling her if she opened her eating establishment she could be fined 6000tl, but Eric Point and Grease Monkey East side say they will be open May 1st but not Destiny!

I'm working on the assumption that absolutely everything will be closed. After all it's only one day and I doubt there is anything that I can't go without for one day!!

Government statement said that staff must be paid double if the premises are open or they will be subject to a fine.

Had to go out earlier and Karaoglanoglu a virtual ghost town. ATM were totally shut down and two Petrol Stations shut down. A couple of small family run food shops in K were open but all others had shutters down. Fortunately I didn't need anything although I did meet a couple who were a little concerned as they were unable to get air for their tyres.

I was at Pia Bella Hotel this morning and they were getting ready laying on a bbq for their staff, lovely gesture.
The roads were empty driving in!
