According to http://www.gundemkibris.com/16-yasindak ... 44754h.htm the two young men shown below were arrested for taking a 16-year-old girl to a half-finished house in Lapta and raping her there The incident happened on Sunday. The suspects have been remanded in custody awaiting trial.

One comment, that took my eye, is from a mainlander called Mutlu, where he/she (could be either) writes, as if, to the suspects:
"What were you up to - you have disgraced us all - you have disgraced Turkey"

Shocking news, poor girl, she will spend the rest of her life reliving this, I hope that society treats her kindly and does not view her as damaged goods and therefore unmarriageable. I hope the courts will give very long sentences to these youths to deter others from this heinous crime, they must have seen the mistakes made in the UK laws and court sentences, which are no deterrent at all! I further hope that her family will be supportive. She should not have to suffer further.

I think that over here the punishment fits the crime, so I don't want to even think about what they will go through, bet they never do it again.
My thoughts are with the poor girl.

I agree with SHL on this one. I do hope that the girls is treated with a lot of care, love and understanding and not made to feel guilty and dirty as a result of what has happened to her. Unfortunately this is not always the case here sad to say.

Poor girl. Does it say what nationality she is ?

Was told by a TC lady what happened to child molestors in Turkish jails and it made me cringe at the thought of it. I wonder if the same will happen to these two illigitimates? PLEASE.

There are no do gooders to protect them here.
