Having work on our pool soon, it will need refilling after. Anyone have an idea of how much it will cost for 8 X 4 pool Karsiyaka area. Havnt had a tanker this year yet due to the weather! So I don't know how much they are charging.

Don't know depth(s) involved, ergo difficult to work out/estimate how many tonnes are needed. Our tanker delivered H2O is 20 TL per tonne and in our area (Esenetepe) that appears to be the norm. You might pose the question to whoever is doing the pool work for an idea of likely cost.

I’m not suggesting this, it is just a question are you allowed to top up a pool from mains water these days

You would be looking at about 2 to 3 tankers the 18 toners think you can top up from mains from Turkey water but it will take long long time better to get tankers then if you need just top up easy from mains

8x4 pool = 32 cubic meters x average depth of 1.5 m = 48 plus balance tank say 6= 54
54 cubic meters = 54 metric tons.

Beware of tankers supplying "heavy water".
I ordered 110 tonnes of tanker-ed water and got 80M3. Tanker water must be 33% heavier than tap water, or rain water, or sea water. There can't be any other explanation. Maybe it's dense enough to walk on. Another Cypriot miracle?

They often set off from the filling point with a full load and spill loads on the way... reminds me of the old Greengrocer joke, I bought six apples but when I got home there were only four in the bag, so I went back to greengrocer to enquire and he said "Oh, two were bad so I threw them away".

If you are on Turkish mains then you should use that to fill your pool... in Esentepe, those on mains are banned from hiring water delivery by truck.

I was told (by my tanker supplier) that the cost of mains water doubles after 10 tons in a month (they know from your water meter card top up) because of people filling their pools which is still officially (apparently) not permitted. I just paid 160 tl for a tanker load (an increase from the previous 120 tl).

I regularly put 20 or 30 tonnes at a time onto my card (especially in the summer) and it is always 6TL per tonne that Lapta charge.

Same here, I always get 30 tonnes per month throughout the year as the heavy summer use balances out the sparse winter use. We have about 150 tonnes prepaid at the moment which would easily fill our pool if needed.
