I know many of you often visit Istanbul for a day or two, and some of you might want to add to your itineraries a visit to the Bosphorus Brewing Company next time you're in town:

Real ale in Turkey - fantastic news. Could this be brought over by a few English bars into TRNC for the Ex-pat thirst !! or better still would it be legally possible to brew over here. If this happened it would be brilliant for Real Ale lovers!!

barbarians-the one thing I miss the most here is proper real ale.
I suppose in principle you could brew here -but getting hold of the kit and the right quality ingredients might be difficult.
Also I guess you have to consider the climate.
The 'Gold fassl ' brewery in famagusta might be up for producing a nice 'Blond' bitter which I think would work well here.
I only have 3 more weeks to go and I will be in my local wetherspoons partaking in a big way!

Andrew, I would have thought that the paperwork required in Turkey would have been even more of a nightmare ... and I'm certain that Philip Hall has a Turkish partner (owning more than 50%) with connections to make it all happen. So, if the Bosphorus Brewing Company (BBC?) can open for business there, I don't see any reason why it can't happen in the TRNC.
