Is there anywhere Lapta/Alsanak area who can repair a large heavy duty parasol ?

Don’t know if you mean a complete new cover or repairs to a damaged one. I priced up a new.complete cover and was quoted 800 Lira. I went to Aladdin’s Cave in Karakum and obtained a complete new one for 750 lira. These are the rather large umbrellas that have to have concrete or similar support.

Try the Parasol Shop in Karaoglanoglu. Almost next door to China Bazaar. They do nothing else but Parasols of all sizes. You can't possibly miss it, the walls are covered in them.
