JUNE Coffee Morning -The OLIVE TREE HOTEL, RESULT

Our next Coffee Morning is to be hosted by the delightful and very special Olive Tree Hotel in Catalkoy which is another new venue for us and which we are so grateful to for ''having'' us.
Tuesday the 18th June 2019 starting at 11.00 am and we know some of you will be early birds! Just a 15 TL entrance donation will be payable which includes a complimentary cuppa and cake on us and this goes to our charity to help us do what we do!
The Olive Tree Hotel would like to invite you to use their beautiful pool area afterwards so just bring your towels and make a lovely morning and afternoon of it! Their pool bar will be serving snacks and drinks so no need to worry about lunch!
We have already been gifted some stunning prizes for our Island Famous Raffle which includes a voucher for the value of 200 TL from the Ozankoy Best Butcher's Shop(Thank you Yusuf) and a voucher for the the value of 100 TL from the DVD Shop in Catalkoy( Thank you Phil) plus more!
Our stalls selling quality items at ''silly'' prices all sourced from our two charity shops PLUS other stall holders selling their own wares from home made pickles and preserves, jewelry, handbags and gladrags, greeting cards, plants for your garden and MORE!
Our RAFFLE AND 50/50 for you to have a flutter on and all of US there to welcome you with BIG smiles!
Please join us for an enjoyable few hours, meeting with lovely and caring people all having a chat and a laugh!

Where is the olive tree hotel situated in Catalkoy.Is it far from the main road.

Coming from Girne you will come to Supreme supermarket on your left after SAH supermarket. Take the next turning on your right and keep on this road travelling up through the village heading up towards the mountain range.There are numerous sign posts situated through out the village. for The Olive Tree. Coming from Arapkoy/Esentepe way you would turn left after Tempo is on your right. It is nor more than 10 mins off the coast road, probably less.

Us again!
Some of you are still not sure where The Olive Tree Hotel is in Catalkoy.
Here goes! - from Girne drive on the coast road heading east, You will pass The Cratos Hotel, Sah Supermarket and Supreme all on the left hand side of the road,Take the next right hand turning after Supreme and keep on this road up the hill heading towards the village and the mountains.There are many different other ways but to keep it simple we are telling you this way. The Olive Tree is highly signposted throughout the village.
The main entrance is on the left and there are two vast car parking area;s on the right. We will be waiting to meet you through the main doors of the hotel.
The stalls will be outside but there will be seating areas both inside and out. The refreshments will be served inside.
There is wheelchair access on the first level but there are steps down to the pool area but there is a different way that this is accessible also.The staff of the hotel are so obliging and this would not be a problem for them to give any help if needed.
We do hope all stallholders wanting tables have already been in touch with Lynda as we are limited to spaces and some of them had already been booked after we announced this one at our last Coffee Morning at Les Ambassadeurs.
Don't forget your ''cozzies and towels'' as the Olive Tree have invited you to stay on for a little while and enjoy their stunning pool area and pool side snack bar!
ONLY five more sleeps! This is probably our last Coffee Morning for a couple of months as the beautiful and scorching Cypriot sun has finally come home! Maybe we can 'do' something else for a change which does not involve so much !

Sincere apologies for the lateness in posting this but it has been a full on week for us with not only this event, our two charity shops and also another special event which was held on Thursday which we will post the result separately.
Our Coffee Morning last Tuesday! Where do we start?

Our heartfelt thanks to The Olive Tree Hotel in Catalkoy for hosting this event and for helping us so much.To the owners, management and everyone working there you were all so obliging, friendly and basically could not do enough for us. Fetching extra tables, umbrella's from the poolside, sorting out air conditioning and lots more and we never got the ''Cypriot'' shrug once!
A special thank you to Mr. Ugur Kiroglu who guided his co-workers and was there for us the weeks before hand in planning and of course on the day.

Our Raffle alone raised 1170.00 TL and we would like to give our heartfelt thanks to everyone who gifted prizes and to all of you that were there who bought tickets.Our 50/50 raised another 980 TL which was split down the middle with the lucky winner and our charity.

This was a smaller venue for us than of late but we all think it was and is a very special one! Not only did The Olive Tree Hotel ''put'' up with us all, they catered and gave us all the delicious refreshments for us to then 'treat' you all and also gave a prize for the Raffle.
There were approximately 140 of us sharing these few hours together having lots of laughs , chat and treating ourselves from the many stalls.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the stallholders for your continued support and to all the friends of the charity who are always there for us!

This enjoyable morning , a 'Hot' one we know but it is Cyprus, raised an amazing 4,628. 00 TL which will all go in the 'pot' to help us help the local hospitals help us all

We did have two visitors from the Girne State Hospital and it is always good to see them supporting us supporting them. They did give the 15 TL entrance donation and buy off the stalls as well!
A little break for us now but we will be hoping to organize another Coffee Morning for sometime in September.

Our two charity shops will STILL be open for business! Heartbeat by the side of the Girne State Hospital and The Hut behind the main Post Office in Girne (Yellow building).
