WHO do you miss from 44?

hi We don't need to miss 44 now that we have the excellent KIBKOM, but I wonder, is there anyone who you miss from 44 that you hope will join us here?
For me it is Deputydawg and of course the long suffering wildebeeste, 'bless her'. He didn't post that often, just 'popped in' now and again but his dry sense of humour was second to none and always made my day.
Come on Deputydawg, where are you?

Definitely DeputyDawg (Brian). Keith Caley and good old Cooper. Of course, it goes without saying that Negative Nick is missed but at least we have his old friends, The Mongers, on here.

I only miss the kind, nice people. All the others did was make nasty remarks. Walkerscott was nice and helpful along with nurseawful but other than that as soon as one made a snipey remark the others all jumped in.

Hello Keith - nice to see you on here. I've seen your posts on other forums (fora?) but felt this one was sadly lacking something, i.e. You
Warm regards.

Never posted on there, but I was registered and just a watcher from the UK. A lot of very useful and interesting stuff, but I have to say that seeing some of the sarky remarks and unpleasantness by a core group of people almost put me off making the move to come here! That said, the forum also enabled me to contact a few really nice people direct with my enquiries, and since arriving in TRNC have found all so far to be really helpful and nice. Shame a few gave Cyprus44 such a bad name and I hope the same does not happen here. Thanks to the lady at CreditWest bank for passing me the details!

Jean,
I haven't seen Brian (deputydawg) about, may have to pop up to Jessics Bar to check up on him...
Well it's a good excuse!

Keith - please don't go seeking out Brian on my account. I suppose if you don't find him in Jessics, a bar crawl will follow until you track him down? You're all heart Keith - I've always said it.

Deputydawg and the Wildebeest (bless her) are back on the range having been lost for weeks on the mountains trying to find the forum 44 picnickers. It seems the event was postponed but I never saw notice of that. Good to see Blue Butterfly flutterby with a thread. It also seems that many of the right minded and helpful members from 44 now contribute to this board and we hope that the moody ones who picked fights are now roped up in the OK corral. If you can tolerate those with dementia and a strange sense of humour we hope to post and respond on this board, avoiding acrimony. If Keith is missing in a bar somewhere we volunteer for a posse to find him

@@@@@, or should i say negative nick. If you had a bar to run and two girlfriends you would not have time to post here so much mate, let's be honest.
-------------edited by Moderator, as had previous similar post that caused problems with person concerned-------------

Deputy (Brian) - great to see you on here at last. I have to confess that I did ask Keith Caley to go on a recce to try to find you. He suggested that you might be found at a number of watering holes and to be honest, I haven't heard from him since
Look forward to reading your contributions and pleased that your long suffering other half is well.
I am a tad concerned about the missing picnickers of 44; after all, if you weren't aware of the event being cancelled, how many others might there be wandering, as we speak, in the mountains clutching their Thermos flasks?
Warm regards.
Jean
PS We are over in a couple of weeks; might we see you in Fast Food? I'll check to see whether or not your horse is thethered in the car park

After a "Winter of Discontent/in a tent" battoned down with a log fire and 2 cats for company we are so pleased to read the friendly posts on this forum and thread. We have good vibes for "Here comes Summer". The weather is currently somewhat unpredictable but by the time Jean arrives it should be great. Our telephone number is 0533 846 2762 and we would not hesitate to come to the Fast Food Cafe if invited. Sue and Howard love the food there too. Keith's hunt and bender could have been endless as me flea bitten hoss has only managed to get as far as Jessics perhaps 3 times in 8 years ! Beers on Deputy Dawg for those who might RV there but if the numbers were to go much past a dozen my income of pensions would be expended

Brian - telephone number duly noted and stored in phone in readiness. Will call you, most definitely. Might be able to coax Keith C out and persuade him to make the journey up the hill to FF Cafe.
Regards.
Jean
PS Pensons (plural) eh??????????????

I hope one more post arranging an RV for members is not a breach of the rules. Will be great to meet you again and also perhaps Sue, Howard and Keith and anyone else who likes sound food at reasonable prices. It is in fact 3 pensions but all wounded and not adding up to much. State, Army, and a personal pension into which was paid 10% of a good salary for over 20 years. It forecast £12,000 per annum but after Brown/Blair trousered £8 billion year apon year from people's pension pots I receive £1680 gross per annum. Hence I am now a geriatric lager lout and do not imbibe officer's tea (G and Ts) !
