Back to an old subject just wanting to see if anyone can provide more up to date information:

1) How long is now taking to obtain Permission to purchase?

2) I heard somewhere that it is possible to call the office and obtain verbal confirmation in around 2 months?

3) Again sure I read somewhere that you can provide a DBS ( Disclosure and Barring Service) which can be applied to UK gov online, as opposed to a full CRB check which can only be applied by post and takes some time?

Hopefully, someone is up to date on the process or has had recent experience

I did CRB online and it cost £65. Takes two weeks.. the hard copy was sent to my sister in UK and she DHL,d it to my advocat. Worked fine. Permission to buy took a further 10 months or so if I remember correctly. Company I used for CRB was https://crbdirect.org.uk/
